Our members are clay artists at all skill levels, from beginners to hobbyists to full-time professionals.
Established in 1991, The Clay Connection’s mission--to promote clay arts in the metropolitan area of Washington, DC--is accomplished through four main goals:
- Educating members about the art, styles, and techniques of pottery.
- Promoting community awareness and appreciation of pottery as a hobby, a profession, and an art form.
- Exposing members to the local, regional, national and international community of potters.
- Pursuing other activities in accordance with the corporation’s tax exempt status.
The intent of this web site is to provide information on our organization, events and activities, members gallery, useful sources and resources for potters, and information on becoming a member.
