Our annual Holiday sale of Pottery is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th, at the Vienna Community Center. This is a sale of quality pottery - no seconds or clearance items. The December show brings in numerous loyal buyers! So, more pots and more potters = more success! Non-members are welcome to participate.

Guidelines

  • Each participant will have one large rectangular table to display items. Bring as many or as few items as you like! It is easy to be in our sales if this is your first time!
  • You may bring tablecloths for your table top and we encourage display materials to individualize your table. Clay Connection provides a supply of muslin strips that must be used for each table skirt, for uniformity.
  • Tables will beassigned by the committee chairs
  • The committee needs a headcount of participants by November 7, 2008
  • All items should be priced in whole dollars with nothing less than $5

To help you increase sales:

  • We pay for one ad in a local newspaper and contact other papers to obtain listings in their weekend sections.
  • We scheduled this sale to occur between Thanksgiving and Christmas and will advertise it as a perfect place to obtain unique gifts for holiday giving.
  • We provide postcards to all participants for your use in helping to advertise this sale.
  • We send postcards to all entries in our mailing list.
  • We continue looking into other ways to increase attendance at this sale.
  • We will have a paid space ad in The Washington Post
  • Credit cards (Visa & MasterCard) are accepted

If you're interested in participating

Clay Connection members are eligible to receive a $5 discount on the registration fee for this sale if you:

  1. participated in at least one of the last two sales (May 2008 or December 2008) and
  2. you were then, and presently are, a paid-up member.
  3. Participation with member status in this sale will make you eligible for the registration discount in the next Clay Connection Sale.
